Staff Workshop and 60-day Comment Period for Voluntary Performance Framework for Low-Power Modes

The California Energy Commission (CEC) will host a public workshop to present the draft staff report for Voluntary Performance Framework for Low-Power Modes, and to seek comments from interested members of the public regarding the draft staff report and the implementation of the Data Collection Procedure for the Low-Power Modes.

The draft staff report, which includes the draft framework for the Voluntary Performance Framework specifically as it relates to standby and similar low-power modes for various consumer products, was published on May 15, 2026, and is currently available for download on the Low-Power Modes Docket Log. Public comments will be accepted both orally at the June 24, 2026, workshop and in writing up to July 14, 2026. Instructions for attending the public workshop and for submitting comments are provided below.

The public can participate in the workshop consistent with the attendance instructions below. The CEC aims to begin promptly at the start time posted and the end time is an estimate based on the proposed agenda. The workshop may end sooner or later than the posted end time, depending on the number of public participants and volume of oral public comments.
