The Commission’s Chief Counsel’s Office (CCO) offers clerkship opportunities to current law students in a hybrid work environment with excellent mentoring opportunities. As a full-service law office, the CCO addresses cutting-edge legal questions on a wide variety of subjects. Law clerks work closely with CCO attorneys to produce the highest quality legal work in the field as the Commission implements laws transitioning California to a 100% clean energy future.

CSUS Executive Fellowship Program
The Executive Fellowship Program is sponsored by the Center for California Studies at California State University, Sacramento, and the Office of the Governor to provide an experiential learning opportunity in California state government. California’s executive branch is one of the most dynamic in the United States. The fellows function as full-time professional staff in executive offices at various levels of California’s executive branch, including the Office of the Governor, constitutional offices, cabinet secretaries, commissions, and departments.

Stanford Energy Internships in California
The Stanford Energy Internships in California provides students the opportunity to work alongside Energy Commission staff, gaining experience and knowledge in energy-related public service. The internships at the Energy Commission are in partnership with Stanford in Government, a nonpartisan, student-run organization dedicated to promoting political awareness, providing public service opportunities and fellowships, and assisting students in their search for quality experiences in the public policy arena.
