Add to CalendarThe Electric Program Investment Charge (EPIC) Symposium is back in-person after a four-year hiatus!
On Monday, October 28, 2024, the 10th Annual EPIC Symposium will convene clean energy professionals, researchers, grantees, policymakers, industry leaders, technology developers, and entrepreneurs to spotlight the latest innovations and advancements driven by the EPIC program.
Learn how California’s premier public clean energy research fund is pioneering, deploying, and commercializing the next generation of technologies. The EPIC Symposium is a valuable opportunity to network with top government and private sector leaders and to learn about ongoing EPIC projects and efforts in areas such as battery manufacturing, medium- and heavy-duty zero-carbon fleets, industrial decarbonization, and more.
This free, one-day symposium kicks off with registration at 8:00 AM at the California Natural Resources Agency (CNRA) building at 715 P Street in Sacramento. In-person attendance will be limited, so please register early. The event will also be streamed on Zoom for those wishing to attend remotely.
The CEC is one of four EPIC administrators alongside Pacific Gas and Electric Company, Southern California Edison, and San Diego Gas & Electric Company funding research, development, and demonstrations of clean energy technologies and innovations that will benefit electricity ratepayers in California’s three largest investor-owned electric utility territories. EPIC investments lead to technological advancement and breakthroughs to overcome the barriers that can prevent the achievement of the state’s statutory energy goals. This program is funded by California utility customers under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission.
Join us at this year’s symposium and discover how EPIC is charting a brighter future for all Californians!

EPIC Grantees – Call for Videos
Interested in sharing your story as an EPIC grantee?
The CEC invites EPIC grant recipients to submit a video highlighting their clean energy technologies and innovative products and projects. Videos will be showcased at the symposium and posted on the CEC’s YouTube channel. Submitted videos should demonstrate how the grant project technology or clean energy practices are accelerating California’s transition toward a safe, decarbonized, and resilient clean energy system. Videos should also highlight tangible benefits to a community or participants, as applicable. This is a key opportunity to share an EPIC-funded project with hundreds of key policy makers, industry leaders, legislative staff, and potential investors.
Videos should be three minutes or less in length. The deadline for submissions is Friday, September 13, 2024. For more information and the video submission application, visit Call for Videos - 2024 EPIC Symposium web page.
