Work Group Meeting #2 to Discuss the FY 22-23 Incentives for Zero-Emission Public School Buses and Supporting Infrastructure

The California Energy Commission (CEC) and the California Air Resources Board (CARB or Board) invite you to participate in a public work group meeting to discuss the implementation of incentives for zero-emission public school buses and supporting infrastructure. The Fiscal Year (FY) 2022-23 State Budget included a total of $150 million for incentives for the procurement of zero-emission school buses and associated infrastructure, $135 million of which will be administered through CARB’s Clean Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project (HVIP), and $15 million of which will be administered through CEC’s Energy Infrastructure Incentives for Zero-Emission Commercial Vehicles (EnergIIZE) Project. At this work group meeting, staff will discuss proposed changes to the school bus incentive program requirements, including incentive amounts, eligibility, and application prioritization. The presentation will be posted to the Low Carbon Transportation Investments and Air Quality Improvement Program website, and on the CEC’s 21-TRAN-04 Docket Log.
