SACRAMENTO – The California Energy Commission invites you to celebrate the winners of the 2024 Clean Energy Hall of Fame Awards at a special ceremony.

These Californians will be recognized for their leadership and outstanding achievements advancing the state’s clean energy goals. The Dec. 5 ceremony is at the California Natural Resources Agency (CNRA) Auditorium.  After the ceremony, attendees are invited to a reception with food, drinks and entertainment in the lobby of the CNRA building.

The event can be watched remotely via Zoom.

WHAT:

The Clean Energy Hall of Fame Awards honor leaders making exceptional contributions to help California achieve a 100 percent clean energy future for all.

The recipients for the fifth annual event are:

Lifetime Achievement Award – Gene Rodrigues, Assistant Secretary of Energy, U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Electricity, Manhattan Beach, California

Youth Game-Changer Award – Julia Zeitlin, Founder, Palo Alto Student Climate Coalition, Palo Alto, California

Tribal Champion Award – Elizabeth “Liz” Perez, CEO and President of GC Green, Native American Energy Services, and Veteran Energy Services Company, North Fork Rancheria of Mono Indians, California

Clean Energy Champion Awards:

  • Dr. Fan Dai, Director, University of California, Berkeley, California-China Climate Institute, and Senior Fellow, Harvard Kennedy School, Berkeley, California
  • Christine Viterelli-Busby, Grants Manager, City of Arvin, Arvin, California
  • Patricia Watts, President and CEO, Faith Com Inc. dba FCI Management, Cerritos, California
