The Legislature and Governor appropriate money from the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF) to State agencies through the annual budget process. The California Energy Commission has received GGRF allocations for the Clean Transportation Program in the following areas:

  • Equitable At-Home Charging
  • Charging and Hydrogen Refueling Infrastructure for Drayage Trucks
  • Charging and Hydrogen Refueling Infrastructure for Trucks, Buses, and Off-Road Equipment
  • Charging and Hydrogen Refueling Infrastructure for Light-, Medium-, and Heavy-Duty Vehicles
  • Charging and Hydrogen Refueling Infrastructure for Transit Buses

The Clean Transportation Program is part of California Climate Investments, a statewide initiative that puts billions of Cap-and-Trade dollars to work reducing greenhouse gas emissions, strengthening the economy, and improving public health and the environment - particularly in disadvantaged communities.
