Airflow Measurement Apparatus

Under Title 24, Part 6, Section 100.0(h) and Reference Residential Appendices Section RA3, all airflow rate measurement apparatuses used to verify residential heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system airflow must be certified to the Energy Commission.

Items that must be included with the declaration statement are:

  • The product manufacturer's model numbers for the airflow measurement apparatuses.
  • The product manufacturer's documentation that gives the specifications for use of the airflow measurement apparatus to accurately measure the airflow of residential air conditioning systems, ventilation systems, and/or whole house fans.
  • A completed and signed Declaration
