SB 350 required POUs with an average load greater than 700 GWh (in the 2013-16 period) to develop IRPs by January 1, 2019 and submit them to the Energy Commission to review. Plans must be updated at least once every five years. POUs are also required to address transportation electrification in their IRPs.
To assist, the CEC has developed a Light-Duty Plug-in Electric Vehicle Energy and Emissions Calculator to help estimate and report on the energy and emissions impact of light-duty plug-in electric vehicle deployment in their service territories. Use of this tool is optional. To request a copy of the tool, please contact Paul Deaver.
