EnergIIZE (Energy Infrastructure Incentives for Zero-Emission) Commercial Vehicles is the nation’s first commercial vehicle fleet infrastructure incentive project. Funded by the California Energy Commission’s (CEC) Clean Transportation Program and implemented by CALSTART, EnergIIZE Commercial Vehicles provides incentives for zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) infrastructure equipment for medium- and heavy-duty (MDHD) battery-electric and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles operated and domiciled in California.
Why Drayage Fleet?
The CEC’s EnergIIZE Commercial Vehicles Project (EnergIIZE) will open up a funding set-aside for drayage vehicle charging and refueling infrastructure. The offering allows fleets purchasing a drayage vehicle through the California Air Resources Board’s (CARB) HVIP program to receive electric vehicle charging and/or hydrogen refueling infrastructure incentives directly, aiming to accelerate the deployment of infrastructure when and where it is needed and reach statewide targets of making infrastructure available to the sector.
Eligible Applicants:
Fleets requesting voucher(s) for zero-emission vehicle incentives through CARB’s HVIP Drayage Truck Set-Aside program and fleets on the HVIP Drayage Set-Aside list of eligible entities.
