IEPR Commissioner Workshop on 2019 Revised Electricity and Natural Gas Demand Forecast

The lead commissioner for the 2019 Integrated Energy Policy Report (2019 IEPR), Vice Chair Janea A. Scott will host a workshop to present the 2019 Revised Electricity and Natural Gas Demand Forecast.

A quorum of Commissioners may participate, but no votes will be taken.

Agenda

There will be presentations by California Energy Commission (CEC) staff covering forecasts of annual end-user electricity and natural gas consumption, annual and monthly peak electricity demand, and hourly electricity demand. Staff will also present specific forecasts of transportation electrification, additional achievable energy efficiency savings, and behind-the-meter distributed generation and storage impacts. Staff will also present an exploratory analysis of potential fuel substitution impacts, though such impacts will not be included in the CEC’s demand forecasts.

Public Comment

Oral Comments: Commissioners will accept oral comments at the end of the workshop. Public comments may be limited to three minutes or less per speaker and to one person per organization. If participating via WebEx, use the “raise hand feature” so the administrator can introduce you and unmute your microphone after comments from the floor.

Written comments. Written comments must be submitted to the Docket Unit by 5:00 p.m. on December 16, 2019..
