Clean Energy Leaders Gather for EPIC Symposium Sept. 29

SACRAMENTO – The California Energy Commission (CEC) will host the annual Electric Program Investment Charge (EPIC) Symposium, in person and virtually, on Sept. 29.

The EPIC program was established more than a decade ago as California’s premier clean energy research, development, and demonstration program. It invests more than $140 million annually to drive clean energy innovation and entrepreneurship, reduce costs for ratepayers, and improve the resiliency and safety of the electricity system as climate impacts grow. 

Leaders in research, communities, the private sector, and state and federal government will highlight how technological innovations are advancing California’s affordable, sustainable, and equitable clean energy transition.

The free event is held in partnership with the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), Pacific Gas and Electric Company, Southern California Edison, and San Diego Gas & Electric Company.

EPIC is funded by California utility customers under the auspices of the CPUC.
