In addition to reducing GHG emissions, the Equitable Building Decarbonization Program will strive to encourage resiliency to extreme heat, improve indoor air quality, improve energy affordability, provide electric grid support, and increase payment of prevailing wage to the implementing workforce. The California Energy Commission (CEC) is currently accepting input on the development and implementation of the Equitable Building Decarbonization Program. - Equitable Building Decarbonization Direct Install Program Draft Guidelines
The draft guidelines propose the initial rules and requirements for the Equitable Building Decarbonization Direct Install Program, including funding allocations, household and property eligibility requirements, and eligible measures. A workshop is scheduled for May 17, 2023 to present the draft guidelines and seek feedback and recommendations. Comments may be submitted through June 30, 2023.
