Efficiency Funding Success

The Monterey Regional Airport wanted to keep energy costs down. It received a $3 million low-interest loan from the Energy Commission’s Energy Conservation Assistance Act program. With the funds, the airport installed an 826-kilowatt solar array, which is expected to save the airport $5.5 million in energy savings over 25 years.
