Damien Mimnaugh serves as the director for the California Energy Commission’s (CEC) Administrative and Financial Management Services Division.
In his role, Mimnaugh oversees accounting, budgets, business services, contracting, human resources, and information technology for the agency. Previously, he served as the CEC’s chief financial officer. Before joining the CEC, Mimnaugh spent more than six years at the California Department of Finance overseeing budget development and management for several state departments spanning the energy, transportation, law enforcement, and labor sectors.
He earned a master’s degree in public policy and administration from the California State University, Sacramento, and a bachelor of arts degree in the history of public policy from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
